West Bengal Staff Selection Commission or WB SSC was formed by the Government of West Bengal under the administrative control of Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms. The head office of WB SSC is located at Kolkata. The main function of Staff Selection Commission is to recruit officers under group B and group C posts of different departments of the government of West Bengal. For this, departmental examinations and interviews are held.
An advertisement no. 01/ WB SSC/ 2014 has been released in the official website of WB Staff Selection Commission for the recruitment of 1131 posts of Sub Inspector in Sub-ordinate Food & Supplies Service under Grade III. Interested Indian nationals with the requisite eligibility and domicile of the state of West Bengal can apply.
Name of post: Total 1131 vacancies are for the post of Sub Inspector in Sub-Ordinate Food & Supplies Service Grade III.
Pay scale: Candidates selected for the above mentioned position will get initial pay of Rs.6240/- per month under the pay scale of Rs.5400 – 25200/- with grade pay of Rs.2600/-.
Eligibility: Candidates should be between 18 to 40 years of age. Age relaxation is applicable. Pass in Madhyamik Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education is essential and also perfect knowledge of Bengali/ Nepali language is required.
Process of selection: Selection will be made through written test, verification of documents and personality test. Written test will be of 100 marks with duration of 1.30 hours. Questions will be based on General Knowledge and Arithmetic. Those who clears this test will be called for personality test will be of 20 marks.
Examination fees: Examination fees of Rs.220/- has to be paid through online mode.
